'Bulletproof' - New York Native - 6/2/95

Bulletproof (by Galinsky, Mosaic Books) seems to believe that life is performance art, and we're all actors in it. The 45-minute piece includes performers outside the space that look like neighborhood street people, with confetti being thrown, percussion played, and a general unfocused style that gives the event a 1950's Bohemian feeling. One of the women is blessed with several funny lines, like "I believe that Bo Jackson, and Madonna are the same person" and "have you ever cooked in somebody else's oven?" This is the type of avant-garde theater that will persuade you to venture over to Avenue B only if you're interested in seeing and appreciating the latest in this type of downtown performance art.
