Calm My Palm

as coral reaches forth
from the froth of the sea
I lift look lazy upon my hand

what long lines and veins delineate my hand

what tall superstitious creations
calm from the origin of the palm

I lift look lazy upon my hand
reaching a rose budding a beginning
gripping fins and fishies infantile
opening a waterful wonderful constellation

the sun setting horizon
arising red ripples
peaked in pointillistic multitudes

silhouettes of little ones racing the Atlantic laps
chasing waves in the barefoot

baby fingers scratching
grand hand written hearts
into the beachy shore

rising vines of life
brief brisk incantations

challenging the ocean to glide graciously eraseably
wipe away these hand shaped
selves of stroked love
